Thomas Hoppe is recognised as one of the most exceptional artists of his generation. He has concertized with such eminent artists as Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Antje Weithaas, Tabea Zimmermann, Alban Gerhardt and Frans Helmerson, to name but a few, and performs frequently in the U.S. and throughout Europe.

 

As pianist of the renowned ATOS Trio he performs throughout the world to highest acclaim. Recipients of the 3rd Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Award in 2007 and BBC3 New Generation Artists 2009, the ATOS Trio was awarded a Borletto-Buitoni Prize 2012 in recognition of their artistic excellence. A founding member of the piano windtet ensemble 4.1, Hoppe performs extensively with this group as well, especially in the US and the middle east.

Hoppe has taught masterclasses in Collaborative Piano and Chambermusic in Europe, China, Australia, South America and the USA.

 

He and his family reside in Berlin, where he is a Professor for Piano Chambermusic at the Hochschule für Music Hanns Eisler.
