Polish violinist Bartosz Zachlod (born in 1983) began his musical education at the age of 7. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, at the Indiana Univeristy in Bloomington and graduated with honors from the F.Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, under a guidance of prof. K.Jakowicz.
He is the 1st prize winner of the International Karol Szymanowski Violin Competition in Poland in 2005. He also has received a Special Award for the best interpretation of music by Szymanowski. As a soloist and as a member of acclaimed Apollon Musagete Quartett, the winner of ARD Competition in Munich 2008, he has performed with orchestras, such as BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Dresden Philharmonic, Warsaw National Philharmonic, Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra in Lodz, Dohnanyi Orchestra Budafok.
He is a regular guest of the renowned music festivals in Europe and appears with the Apollon Musagete Quartet regularly in the most prestigious concert halls, such as Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Tonhalle Zurich, Louvre in Paris, Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, and Konzerthaus in Vienna, to name just some venues.
He is a grant holder of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and together with AMQ recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award.
