Zoltán Bácsy-Schwartz was born in 1999 in Maastricht (Netherlands) into a musician family. At the age of 12 his family moved back to Budapest where he continued his violin studies with Éva Ácsné Szily. In 2013 he was accepted into the „Special Talents Class” of the Franz Liszt Academy. From September 2019 he is a freshman at the Academy under Miklós Szenthelyi.
He won prizes at not only the Hungarian Rados and Zathureczky competitions but at competitions in Italy, Croatia and Slovakia. He performed with orchestras such as the Hungarian National Philharmonic, MÁV Symphony Orchestra, Danubia Orchestra Óbuda, Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and the Anima Musicae Orchestra. He was invited as guest soloist to the Moscow Conservatory of Music, Covent Garden in London, Paris, Brussels, Bratislava, Santander and so on. In May 2019 he gave two recitals in the Netherlands. Since 2016 he is the principal violinist of the Bayreuth International Jugendorchestra.
